Las Ramblas
La Rambla (or Las Ramblas ) of Barcelona is the most famous and busiest street in the city .
It is the main artery of the Old Quarter , connecting Plaza Catalunya ( Catalonia Square) with the Port and Columbus Monument .
You will fins countless stalls all along La Rambla, selling a huge variety of products: flowers, pets and domestic small animals, show and football tickets, swets and chocolates…
There are always many musicians , living statues and street performers who are giving to the avenue an absolutely singular and unique character .
Each section of the Street takes on a different name, depending on the use given to it, so we have different ” Ramblas” and not just one Rambla.
There is nothing you can not find in Las Ramblas : souvenir shops, stalls opening 24 hours by day , frestaurants bars and mythical locals such as theBoqueria Food Market Place or the Liceu Opera Theatre.
And of course, very close to it , other buildings with tourist and cultural interest, as it is located in the heart of the Gothic Quarter or Old Town of Barcelona .
Some of this buildings are very important even nowadays, Main ones are The Cathedral of Barcelona and the Governtment Palace.
